  • the applicant with provisional entry into the Graduate Medicine Program has successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate study with a high GPA

This award was established in 2004 as a result of several generous donations from the Harrison family. It is designed to support a student of Medicine with preference given to a student from a rural background.

Award Value:
$11,000 over 1 year ($5,500/semester)

Eligibility
  • A recipient must be a full-time student at The University of Queensland
  • A recipient must demonstrate academic excellence and must be accepted into or currently studying Medicine at The University of Queensland
  • A preference is given to applicants from rural backgrounds
  • A recipient is expected to make demonstrable contributions to the extra-curricular activities of the College
  • A recipient must be in residence at St John’s College for the academic year in which the award is received
  • A recipient must remain a full time student for the year in which the scholarship is made and make satisfactory progress towards the completion of her/his degree program
  • A recipient must contribute the balance of the College fees

    • the applicant with provisional entry into the Graduate Medicine Program has successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate study with a high GPA
  • A preference is given to applicants from rural backgrounds
  • The amount of the award is currently $11,000
  • It is offered as remission of College fees over two semesters of one academic year
  • The award is for a period of one academic year only
