The Judge McGuire Scholarship was established in honour of Fred McGuire AO. Judge McGuire was a senior member of the District Court in Brisbane. He was Chairman of the St John’s College Foundation for a period of time and an Honorary Fellow of the College.

$7,500 over 1 year ($3,750/Semester)

Eligibility
  • A recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student at The University of Queensland
  • A recipient must demonstrate academic excellence
  • A recipient must be in residence at St John’s College for the academic year in which the award is received
  • A recipient must remain a full time student for the year in which the scholarship is made and make satisfactory progress towards the completion of her/his degree program
  • A recipient must contribute the balance of the College fees

  • It is offered as remission of College fees over two semesters of one academic year

How To Apply
Application is not required for this award. Recipients are offered the award on the basis of their previous years’ academic results. (Normally for students at College in the previous year.)
